Volunteer Opportunities
LBWSA is successful because of the support of our members. We have a number of volunteer opportunities: within the organization, at member meetings, boating education, and philanthropy events.

Opportunities to help within the LBWSA
Historian:
We're looking for a member who is comfortable taking photos and can do short write ups about the fun things happening at the LBWSA.
Our website is hosted by WIX. NO HTML Required. If you're comfortable using tools like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Pages, Facebook, this is a great skill to learn and we provide training. We're looking with an individual who can volunteer approximately 2 - 5 hours a month to attend events and post about it on the website and Facebook..

Email Communications:
The communications team needs your help. We're looking for a member to help write our monthly email to communicate with members about future LBWSA events.
You would create the email in Constant Contact and send it out to our members.
If you can use a template, gather information from our board, and write clear email communications, please let us know. This is a great way of learning about upcoming events and will have a 2 - 4 hour a month commitment.

Be Part of the Event Team:
Through the course of the year, the fleet captain plans a variety of educational, social, and cruising events.
If you have creative ideas for events, please let us know!
Volunteer opportunities are available for anyone who is interested in setting up philanthropic or volunteer events, planning, promoting, or helping on the day of the event.

Co- Rear Commodore:
LBWSA is looking for creative individuals who can design new items that promote the organization, such as t-shirts for upcoming events, pins, hats, and more. A new line of merchandise is being developed for our members. We're looking for members who can volunteer to sell merchandise at meetings during the mixers, help put item in our online ship store, and assist with designing and having pieces made throughout the year.
