Rare chance to get up close and personal with a marine diesel. Just pulled from a Catalina sailboat, this 3 cylinder, 30 HP Westerbeke is our opportunity to learn about marine engines. This is not a sit back and point class. We will take it apart this engine and learn about how these engines work.

About the event
Rare opportunity to get hands on with a diesel engine. Bring a wrench and/or socket set (metric) and help us explore this engine, identify the parts, remove and open the water system, fuel delivery, filters and common maintenance parts. We hope to open it all the way to the cylinders and discover why it appears to be seized. Participate as much as you want. This engine will have residual fluids which may leak onto hands or clothes to come prepared. Come at 6 pm for taco Tuesday dinner (please rsvp for dinner to colleenfclay@yahoo.com) or to help us set up for this fun activity.
